NCH Hosting Annual Flu Shot Clinics: Fall 2023
(September 2023) The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccine each year, and the Centers for Disease Control recommends annual influenza vaccination for everyone 6 months and older.
Nantucket patients can receive a flu shot at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on the following days. Appointments are required and are available to book on the Patient Gateway or by calling 508-825-1000. Flu shots will be administered in the Anderson Building on the hospital campus at 57 Prospect Street.

Comments
Will the hospital be giving Covid 19 boosters and the RVS shot as well? Thank you
The RSV vaccine and the new COVID vaccine/booster are not yet available at NCH. Keep an eye on the NCH website and social media; they will be updated as soon as we get word.
The vaccine is available to anyone who makes an appointment for the flu clinic located in the Anderson Building. We will submit a claim to their insurance plans, most of which are required to cover flu shots at no cost. Patients should check with their plans if they are concerned. Some may cover them if they go to certain locations, like a pharmacy.
