Jody Newman, SLP

Jody Newman, M.A, C.C.C- SLP, works with children of all ages in many areas including receptive and expressive language, articulation/phonological skills, apraxia of speech, social and play skills, autism, and a variety of special needs. Prior to joining the NCH Staff she worked within the Nantucket Public School System as a Speech Language Pathologist and Early Educator. Jody works one on one with children and often times includes a family member with the youngest children. Activities and suggestions are provided for children and families to complete at home to carryover skills and encourage communication development.

Jody’s Massachusetts Department of Education Licensure fields include: Speech and Language, Early childhood, K-3 ,Teacher of Young Children with Special Needs, Ages 3 – 7, and a Sheltered English Immersion endorsement. She is a member and licensed by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.

Jody works per diem for the Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Children must have a physician referral to schedule an appointment.
