Pedro Amaral, OTR/L

In 2000, Pedro earned his master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Boston University. He joined Nantucket Cottage Hospital Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy Department along with their Visiting Nurses Association in 2002. He currently provides care to NCH’s Outpatient, Inpatient and Swing Bed Rehabilitation population. Pedro specializes in hand, wrist and elbow orthopedic conditions and has also received advanced training in Vertigo. Pedro’s coworkers describe him as caring, compassionate and efficient. While his patients always remember him, as being sympathetic and understanding to their needs.

Pedro first came to Nantucket in 1990 to work at Sankaty Head Caddie Camp, where he worked for 18 summers. In 2000, he made Nantucket his year-round home. Outside of work, Pedro spends most his time with his wife and children. His hobbies include paddle tennis, golf, and staying active with all Nantucket has to offer.
