Julia Heise, DPT

Julia is originally from Hollywood, Florida and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Florida. She has primarily spent the last 10 years treating patients in the outpatient orthopedic setting, but has also treated patients in the inpatient hospital setting, skilled nursing rehabilitation setting as well as the home health setting.

Julia joined the Nantucket Cottage Hospital Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy team as a Physical therapist in 2013. She has developed her clinical skills in treating post operative orthopedic conditions, general orthopedic conditions, balance and gait dysfunctions, pediatric developmental concerns/conditions, TMJ disorders as well as general vertigo conditions. Julia uses a variety of treatment approaches including manual techniques as well as individualized therapeutic exercise progressions to allow patients to achieve their goals in returning to their specific functional goals.
