“Nantucket Cottage Hospital, its physicians and staff, provided both routine and emergency care for my family for the many years we have been visitors and residents of Nantucket. Every person who sets foot on this island has real or potential need for the care and services provided by this critical component of our island community. We all need to continue to support this hospital so it is available to everyone in their time of need. (more…)

“Among those of us who are fortunate enough to be on our lovely island as visitors, guests or residents, many have been touched by Nantucket Cottage Hospital in important and memorable ways.

NCH would be unable to carry out its important work without its volunteers, who today number 400. When one enters the hospital, a “Blue Coat” is there to greet each patient and visitor. One will find volunteers working throughout the hospital in both clinical and administrative areas and their length of service spans several months to decades. (more…)

“Since moving year-round to Nantucket 30 years ago, we’ve gotten the best care here out of anywhere we’ve lived. Not just once or twice but over and over again. The personal attention shown to us at Nantucket Cottage Hospital has been exceptional, especially when we’ve needed it most, with everyone there, to a person, being nice. We feel safe here on Nantucket and confident that we’ll get taken care of in short time. This is what you get here at our hospital.”

Our Donors – Roy Flanders

“Most of us have had a member of our family or someone we know who was helped in a serious medical situation thanks to our Nantucket Cottage Hospital. I’ve said this before, but really try it: imagine Nantucket without our hospital. Whether it was $10, $20, $5,000 or $10,000, your involvement and donations make a big difference to Nantucket Cottage Hospital this year and will continue to do so in the future.”

Roy is a longtime island resident who made a successful $250,000 one-to-one matching pledge to Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s 2013 annual appeal, via The NCH Fund.
