“Nantucket Cottage Hospital, its physicians and staff, provided both routine and emergency care for my family for the many years we have been visitors and residents of Nantucket. Every person who sets foot on this island has real or potential need for the care and services provided by this critical component of our island community. We all need to continue to support this hospital so it is available to everyone in their time of need.

The economics of healthcare have been changing and will continue to evolve in the future such that hospitals, especially small ones like NCH, will require substantial financial support from residents and business owners in order to survive.

Since the hospital receives no funding from the Town of Nantucket, the Annual Fund provides some of this critical support. Just as the hospital provides a lifeline to those in need of critical healthcare, the community, through the Annual Fund, must provide a financial lifeline to our hospital.”
