Cathleen Bruno

Cathleen Bruno is a school based speech language pathologist who has worked with pediatric and adult patients for over twenty years.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in foreign languages from Stonehill College and her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Rhode Island.  Cathleen holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence and specializes in working with pediatric English and Spanish speaking patients.  Her background includes ten years experience at Southcoast Hospitals Group working with acute and sub-acute adult patients and pediatric outpatients.  Cathleen also spent eight years working at Kennedy Donovan Early Intervention Program providing speech therapy to children ages one to three years.  Prior to coming to Nantucket, Cathleen was employed full time with the New Bedford Public Schools as both a bilingual classroom teacher and SLP.  She now works in the Nantucket Public Schools as a full time therapist providing services to students from preschool through grade twelve.  When she is not working at school or in the clinic on Nantucket, she lives in East Freetown, MA with her husband and two daughters.  In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, reading, gardening and traveling.`
