Dr. Lawrason enjoys many forms of exercise, including running, biking, playing tennis, or just walking the dogs. His other interests and hobbies include reading, fishing, birding, painting and drawing, as well as wood carving. “I am always amazed at what creativity does for the soul,” he said.
"I first came to the Nantucket in 1983. That visit started a yearly sojourn in the summer like so many other seasonal visitors. Soon after that the Island became more than just a summer respite. After buying a summer cottage in Sconset I knew that we would eventually move here full time. This summer we will be entering our fourth year as full time residents. It is a privilege to practice medicine here and give back to the Island in thanks for the many years of peace, spirituality, and healing that we have received from this very special place."
