Dr. Pearl is a Nantucket native and a graduate of Nantucket High School. Returning to the island after 20 years of education and training, Dr. Pearl opened her internal medicine practice on Nantucket in 1990.

After 20 successful years in private practice, Dr. Pearl joined the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization in 2009, and serves as the MGPO unit chief for the island, while continuing her internal medicine practice.

Dr. Pearl and her husband, Rep. Tim Madden, raised three children on Nantucket. When she's not at the hospital, she enjoys walking with her dog Maggie, and her first granddaughter, Grace, who also lives on the island.
