Dialysis is an alternative method of removing waste products and excess fluid from the bloodstream when a patient’s kidneys are no longer able to complete this function. Nantucket Cottage Hospital offers the following:

• Outpatient Hemodialysis therapy for Chronic Renal Failure
• Monthly visit with Nephrologist
• Transient patients will be received according to availability of a time slot. Orders must be received ahead of time.

Treatments are available Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm and weekends as necessary for specific treatment.

The referring physician’s office or Care Manager is responsible for obtaining insurance pre-authorization for the patient.
