HEALTH FAIR
The Health Fair, sponsored by the Peter M. Sacerdote Family, offers an array of healthcare services, including medical consultations,demonstrations, free screenings, and educational presentations. Partnerships between the Hospital and other island healthcare providers--including the pharmacies, island chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, Nantucket Aids Network, Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention and A Safe Place--provide medical and wellness services and information.
Free screenings include prostate,skin, glaucoma and cataract. Other features of the Health Fair include Digital Mammography Suite tours, glucose and blood pressure testing, and Hepatitis C/HIV testing. Educational presentations cover topics including question-and-answer sessions on Lyme Disease, women’s health issues,Senior Health and heart disease. Screenings for Lyme disease, Prostate Cancer and Diabetes are provided at a specially-discounted rate.(A voucher will be available for these blood tests- they will not be conducted on the day of the Fair.)
